Peace
Weathervane 19th Century
Indian is holding a peace pipe and raising his hand to show a welcoming heart. Handcrafted from antique heart pine along with copper and iron. The directional tail is a corbel salvaged from a farmhouse located in upstate New York, circa 1895. The piece is painted in numerous layers of buttermilk paint to give a well-worn appearance. The piece is hallmarked and placed on a metal museum mount for display or may also be displayed on a wall.
